Gap trading has several advantages over trading a randomly selected universe of stocks. This form of trading allows us to start with a pre selected group of stocks that are either gapping up or down from which we can then trade for short term intra-day trades that offer us a highest degree of success. We trade stocks that are much more likely to move, even if the market doesn't. These stocks also are often moving "on their own page" with less connection to the indices.
Some traders prefer trading only a handful of stocks each day, using our Gap Analysis to find the best ones. You will be taught how to scan your database of stocks each morning to pick the ones that have the highest odds of movement and the highest odds of a directional bias.
In this workshop, a few concepts pertaining to Gap Analysis will be shown. For example, we use the Guerilla Tactics in Trading the Pristine Method® Part I to describe how daily patterns can affect the odds of follow through on a gap. These techniques are the same ones that we use in the Pristine Method Trading Room in our pre market review every single day.
Using the Gap Analysis in order to find high odds setups greatly enhances the likelihood that you are in the right stocks and that you are on the right side of them.
